Membership

High Desert Alano Club, Inc. (HDAC) is a private, non-profit organization built and formed to provide a space where groups devoted to the recovery of alcoholics can meet.

In order to function, the HDAC has expenses, taxes, utilities, safety inspections, building and property maintenance, club and some meeting supplies, decorations and entertainment, supplies and many other financial obligations. Revenues come from the following sources:

  • Meeting Rent

  • Membership dues

  • Fundraising events

  • Donations

  • Rental of the big room for private functions

When you become a member of the HDAC, you help make it possible to provide space, events and fellowship for so many people in recovery. By becoming a member and renewing your membership annually, you are engaging in service work. You are practicing the 12th Step by helping to carry the message to alcoholics. You are freely giving back some of what you been so freely given.

Membership dues are $100.00 per year payable in advance. If you are not a member, or your membership has expired, we encourage you to join or renew today. All dues are tax deductible, and each member (upon request) will receive a letter for tax purposes.

All members receive a key to the membership side of the HDAC, giving you and your guest(s) access to the main hall, wide screen TV, kitchen and meeting rooms. Keys are issued upon membership; the first key is free to paid in full yearly members, lost keys are the responsibility of the member.

Do not hesitate to attend the monthly board meeting with your ideas and thoughts. Board meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every month at 6 PM.

Please note: 12-step recovery meetings that meet at the High Desert Alano Club are governed by their respective service structure, not the HDAC Board of Directors
